[Edited 10.1.2011] Adjusted the difficulty for the avoider game. Now it's almost impossible to not lose after 35 seconds!
Erm...yes advoider games doesn't works like that (and are usually more exciting than that), but excuse my poor skills on actionscript. @_@ And you have to lose to contiune on.
While of course any Pokemon can OHKO after three times of Swords Dance, let's just assume the Giga Drain move by Roserade is a critical hit to Samuel/Gliscor's heart. And sorry for making *Arriscas's Bo being so unlucky here too...Don't worry, everyone gets a chance to lose in the next entry! XD
Parts: 1: [link] 2: [link] 3: here 4: [link] (I'm dividing the entry to 4 parts so that people won't be spammed with 4 entries at the same time...)
I'm surprised no one's raised an objection! XD These remind me of the Ace Attorney games for some reason. I wish I knew how to do a flash, these looks so easy to make, but when I try, I fail miserably.
Placing an "objection!" scene here would be really amusing... Maybe I really should try adding more stuff like this next time! Now you've mentioned it... the Ace Attorney games have a similiar layout to this too! O: I guess that's most Japanese adventure game does anyway~
These indeed are quite easy to make... but it was also quite time-consuming to make them move around and speak though. Maybe you can start making interactive pictures like this one...
It's a pretty interesting, simple enough, I could try, but knowing me, I'd quite five minutes in. OTL Visual Novels do tend to look like this though, but usually you look directly at the person talking, in this, and in the game Miles Edgeworth Ace attorney, you view them from an angle.
I think it's because you're supposed to be the main character in most visual novels, while controlling the main character in adventure games then! Viewing the characters from an angle tends to make you feel more distinct to the scene...
Not every Visual Novel I've played takes place from the main character's perspective, in the Miles Edgeworth game, Mile's is seen quite a bit, apposed to Phoenix Wright and Apollo Justice where you see through their eyes, and can only see them when they're in court. I guess that's why I prefer Miles Edgeworth Ace Attorney though.
Um, I can only think of gal games when I typed "visual novel", so I guess that's why I thought most of them are from the main character's perspective...@_@ I also prefer seeing the main character more often in these kind of games too. Because usually they're quite handsome to look at!
Okay I tried,I didn't get it until I read the instructions the second time. Then when I tried the third time I last...for about 391 seconds.I was wondering why it was still going on until I realized that it was Shiny Evee's fate to get knocked out.So I let him get hit.I should of read the comments -_- ....
I guess I should state that clearly in the game then... While the main goal for an avoider game is to keep playing as long as you can, I realized that it's quite difficult to lose as the Gliscor doesn't really speed up.
